Zia Credit Union is seeking a full-time Internal Audit Manager. The position will be responsible
for the implementation of the credit union’s auditing procedures. Monitor the credit union for
compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), creating appropriate auditing reports for management and outside auditors. Manage any outsourced auditors.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance, and minimum two years
internal audit experience in a financial institution; or equivalent combination of education and

• Professional designation, e.g. CPA, CIA, CFE, or CFSA preferred.
• Solid understanding of financial statements and auditing practices, as well as accounting
principles, processes, standards, techniques and procedures.
• Familiarity with the regulations which govern financial institutions, preferably credit unions.
• Ability to self-direct in managing project schedules.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with all
levels within a corporate setting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ability to lift/carry at least 50 lbs. on occasion.
